My name is Oscar Jeffery Bolt
& it’s kickin’ in.
Free of the limiting, road-kill fuck-shit that you “need” to survive.
I read what was written.
I saw you & you never saw me go.
Was it the coffee at nine or you that kept me up til four A.M.?
Bell-toll menu call.
Hungry & alone with the rain & coffee
& deep-dark dreams of wish
& what will never be
& what you took from me.
Okey doke with a choke.
It feels like but it was only halfway a joke.
Thrown under the tire
Caught in the fire
The heart ache
You’re high then you’re low
You’re hot then you’re cold.
I’ll cradle you til you’re comfortable
I’ll hold you all night long.
I missed you in the winter
But now you’re gone, gone, gone.
I haven’t cried in years but I may have to reset that count tonight.
There are no traffic cones
All X’s & unknowns.
You’re gone & I’m alone.
All the lights in your home are on except for what’s in your room.
With no proof
I’m assuming that what I want to hope for & hope not
I am a MAN.
Day #271, Midnight Song (Bad News Blues) - Original.
This was the song I mentioned last week. The one that was better before I did any of the multitrack devilry. The song’s grown on me a little bit since then.
Day #266, For the Love of Iggy - Original
Recorded today, while I’m still slightly confused as to how I feel about a girl.
Day #247, 409 - The Beach Boys cover.
Day #255, It’s Good - Original. Vocals & guitar recorded in one take to cassette.
Lyrics (because they got super distorted & muted during the digitalization.)
It’s good for me, it’s good for you
It’s good for everyone else too.
It’s good for her, it’s good for him.
Don’t you know, baby, it’s good for them?
It’s bad for them, it’s bad for me.
It’s bad for everything that you see.
You better watch out wherever you go.
Oh, baby, don’t you know?
Don’t you see what you gotta be?
Don’t you know?
Let’s trade: You come off anon & I’ll tell you!
Day # 252, one take blues in E, A.K.A paying homage to the White Stripes recorded to cassette on February the 2nd, 2012.
I had fun with this.
Day #251, Wake Up Little Suzy - The Everly Boys cover.
My mom bought a book full of vinyl & there was a 45 of this song. It had been a while since I had last heard it, but as soon as I dropped the needle I knew that I had to learn it.
Acoustic guitar & vocals were recorded in my shower; the electric guitar was recorded in my itty bitty room.
Day #250, first song of 2012, I’ve named it “Doin’ To Me.” I was fiddlin’ around with my two track for the first time in months & made this in one take.
